URBAN WEEKEND

Today is Monday - a fact that depresses me even in a place as beautiful as Italy.

We spent the majority of our weekend in the city of Florence, touring a few palaces and attending mass at the Duomo.

Afterwards, we headed to a restaurant for some dinner, and I finally found a place that serves iced coffee. In a martini glass with chocolate sauce at the bottom, no less. Between that and some fresh grilled chicken, I was in paradise.
Saturday was my friend Kaitlyn's 22nd birthday, so we met up with her at a nightclub called Space to celebrate. Between the drinks and the dancing, we didn't leave until 3am.

Ignore the fact that these are low-quality Snapchat photos.
Sunday morning we slept in and were met with rain, but the second it stopped we headed into Fiesole for cappuccinos and pastries. Usually pretty quiet, we were surprised to find a lively outdoor market taking place in the main square. Once we had refueled, we headed into Florence to check out some shops.

After checking out the leather market and the Ponte Vecchio, I am sad to say my hunt for the perfect Florentine moment continues, but if it means I get to keep shopping around the city, I'm hardly complaining.
